Halloween 2016 - Scary Spiders

Its October which means one thing....HALLOWEEN........
I personally enjoy making bits and pieces for Halloween ,I really enjoy buying all new Halloween decorations for the house, reasons because you can buy pumpkins which can be for autumn and Halloween and because it gets colder in October which means fires are on and hot chocolate is made.
This year I have made some scary spiders which are super funny and adorable to make, this craft is brilliant for children.
**************
I hope you enjoy seeing how I made mine. leave a comment below if you've made any and let me know how it turned out.
******************
Scary Spiders

Step ByStep
You will need:
Black Paper
Scissors
Double sided tape or Glue
A pencil
String
Glitter or paint or tissue paper or sequins .etc.

Step one: You need to draw out your spider template, Make sure you
have four legs on each side and that they are thick.

Step two: Once you are happy with your spider template you have
drawn out, Grab your scissors and cut out the template, if
your doing this with your children, make sure a grown up is
helping with the cutting.

Step Three: When you have finished cutting out your spider template,
Grab your pencil and draw a triangle on one side of the body, make
sure one of the sides of the triangle is in line with the leg. (see picture
above to follow)

Step Four: Grab your scissors and cut the triangle out.
Once cut out you should have something like what the picture above shows.

Step Five: At this stage, you
can bend the legs (see picture below ) by folding the legs flat to the body first then take the top half of the leg and fold it back down to the end of the body to create spiders legs.
Now take your double sided tape or glue and lay your double sided tape or glue on the right hand side of the spiders body and stick together.

Step Six: At this point, your spider should look like this.
If you used Glue to stick the two sides of the body together,
make sure the glue is dry before continuing.
Step Seven: Now you have the body stuck and you got a spider shape,
you can now chose if you want to hang the spider up or not, if not you can skip the next few steps.
You can go straight on to the decroateing.
If you want to hang your scary spider, you need to grab your scissors again, you need to cut a little hole at the top of the spiders body
ready to put some string through to hang in your house.

Step Eight: Get your string and thread it through the hole at the top of the spiders body, turn the body over and tie a tight knot that is bigger than your hole in the card. Test that the spider wont fall off the string.

Step Nine: Once you've tied the knot, turn the spider back over and
tie a loop at the top of the string, so its all ready to hang somewhere in your house.

Step Ten: ITS THE FINAL STEP... you can now decorate your spider in
glitter or paint or sequins. Go crazy!
I f you want to make a smiley face on your spider, get a white pen or pencil and create a scary or smiley face.

THERE YOU HAVE IT.....YOUR VERY OWN SCARY SPIDER!!!
Hope you enjoyed!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Happy New Year! 2016!

Happy New Year! It's officially 2016, it's gone so quick, it feels like yesterday that I was thinking of what 2015 may bring and now its happened and we are on a new year that could bring lots of possibilities towards your way.
Thinking back on 2015, for me, it was a good year at the start it was the usual sales, sales and more sales. I had my 20th birthday in march which was a good day. In June my day to day life changed for the better as before the summer  I applied for my first job, On the 1st of June, I started my new job which completely changed my life, as my confidence grew and I have a new path in my life to follow for a career, I have worked there for 7 months now which has gone so fast.
From June onwards has been busy from work but now everything has come to a stop for Christmas.
***
My new years resolution for 2015 was to get a job which I can give it a big old tick next to, My new years resolution for 2016 is to stop worrying about small silly things and to stop caring what others think of me, I have to say that these two may be hard for me to complete but I'm going to prove myself wrong and change my minds perspective. I can't wait to see what 2016 will bring me and I'm looking forward to bring in new experiences that may enter my life.

I wish all of you guys reading this a very happy and healthy new year!

What are your new years resolution? What is one thing that you will always remember from 2015?

Happy 1st November

IT'S NOVEMBER!!!! WHAT?!!! Where did October go!!
For me this is when Christmas starts to bloom, Christmas drinks start appearing in to coffee shops, Christmas take-away cups start popping up, the air gets colder and crisper, fireworks starts to go off more frequently, shopping centres get lights up and slowly puts out the Christmas gifts/cards.
Everything starts to get more Christmassy.

The first event is the 5th of November, which is Bonfire Night, which leads to fireworks banging around left, right and centre. Bonfire Night is very exciting and great to go and see if you don't mind standing in the cold, I personally love watching fireworks, I sometimes watch them out of my bedroom as it has a good view to the firework display at the nearest school to me. I love seeing the colours and patterns.

November for me is going to be busy but an exciting month, its going to be busy because of work and exciting as I can start slowly get organised for Christmas, planning what colour scheme me and my sister may have on our tree this year, planning gifts for friends and family and how I'm going to wrap the presents.
October has just gone, that means Halloween is done for another year, October for me was a very Hallow-weeny month as it was nothing but crafts and it was more exciting as I needed to dress up, so the excitement of picking an outfit and planning how to do the hair and make-up made me look forward to the Halloween Party (at work). I enjoyed October this month, I loved seeing the leaves in the tress change colours to a yellow and red colour.

^^^ Here are a few photos of me dressed up as the Evil queen,
A wreath my mum made for Halloween,
A Halloween game I made for work.

Share what you enjoy about October and November in the comments below!
I would love to read what you guys like to do or drink or craft in October, November and even December.

Username: Evie - Joe Sugg

I recently bought a new book called Username: Evie which is a fun, comic book that has drama, romance and a lot of action, which makes the book fun to read, My sister bought it for me yesterday and I couldn't put the book down, and finished it this morning, the author of this new amazing comic book is by the one and only Joe Sugg aka Thatcherjoe.

you guys may know him from being Zoella's little brother as well as Thatcherjoe, if neither of you guys know of Joe then here is his YouTube link: https://www.youtube.com/user/ThatcherJoe

I have been following his process of this new comic book from when he first mentioned it and I was very excited to see it for real, I have watched each vlog of his to get the latest news and a sneak peak on what his character Evie looked like.

I have really enjoyed reading this book especially as you read your involved in the book as you got amazing illustrations to follow, which makes you feel like your in the book yourself. I find comic books interesting to read as you get to explore the story line more with the illustrations than just following the words.

Here are some photos I took of my copy of Username: Evie

If you guys have bought the book or have seen the book in shops or from Joe's Vlogs, let me know what you think of it in the comments below.

Brighton 2015

As you may notice by my header that I visited Brighton recently, It was a good trip, I was disappointed that I didn't see any beach huts because of the time but even though I didn't see any beach huts I did enjoy myself, Myself and My sister travelled by train which took 2 hours. When we first got into Brighton we headed to find 'The Lanes', which we finally did find after following a lot of signs and our map, 'The Lanes' are very small but very nice antiques shops, we did visit choocywoccy doodah which was pretty awesome and complete different to how I imagined, as there was all different chocolate bars and chocolate cakes throughout the downstairs of the shop, I think that shop would be ideal to get inspiration for Halloween. We found our way out of 'The Lanes' and headed towards the beach, which was very windy but lovely as the sea was a beautiful turquoises colour which looked magically against the crystallized sun dancing on the surface. I saw the carousel which quiet a few children were enjoying. After enjoying the relaxing sounds of the waves, we headed towards the 'North Laines' which took ages to find but eventually we found it and it was packed full of people but we finally managed to get into one of the shops to have some photo-booth photos taken, which you can see briefly above. Once we wondered around there for a while, we headed back to the train station as our train was getting in soon, we did stopped to get some delicious macaroons, then we waited for our train and headed home.

********************************************************************************

I enjoyed my day in Brighton as it was very different to what I usually do on a weekend, it definitely made the weekend fly by. I would visit Brighton again especially if there was a event or a signing going on, I think I didn't imprecate Brighton enough when myself and my sister were there as we were pretty much against the clock, but from what we did see, my day was pretty good for a first ever visit to Brighton.

Life-Update

I'm also sorry I haven't been active on my blog for ages, its just my work has made my life a little busy. I have got two updates to share with you guys, 1. I've gotten a new haircut and 2. I've gotten a job, 3. Pretty Little Liars 4. Pinterest. ...lets get started on filling you guys in on the two new updates.

New Haircut:

(My own photo)
Yes, I've gotten a new haircut, its shoulder length and I have had layers put into my hair, its not a mega change but its so much better to handle than my super long hair before. I'm deciding whether I should get highlights in it but as summer is nearly over pretty much, I'll probably wait until next summer.

                                                            New Job :

I think the last update I did was when I was in a dilemma of what I wanted to do in my life, But I can officially say that I am happy and settled with a job. I am enjoying each moment I'm there. Now I have been there 3 months and I can honestly say this job has changed my life, because of this job I have a future ahead of me, I have become more confident. without this job I wouldn't of earned the experience I have and the knowledge I can take away from the job.

Pretty Little Liars:

I have recently have really got into Pretty Little Liars (well I've pretty much have gotten obsessed with PLL), I am on season 4 at the moment and oh my god!! there's been so much twists and turns, I can't handle all the new information that you have to piece together along with the 4 little liars. If no one has watched PLL or read the book, Basically its about solving a mystery of a girl called Alison and her missing/murder case, It all involves her 4 best friends (Aria, Hanna, Emily and Spencer) as they do their own investigation of their own to find out what really happened to their best friend on the night she went missing, whilst getting mystery texts from someone called 'A'.  In america and now the UK have found out who 'A' is, I do know too but I'm still very interested in how the story is going to reveal their story and the reason why 'A' was texting the girls and Alison all the time.

                                                                                                                               Pinterest:

I have gotten obsessed by pinterest just lately, its basically like weheartit or instagram but instead of hearting images, you pin it and create a folder on your on pinterest board of your favourite actress/actor or favourite movie or quotes you like etc. I have recently gotten back into pinning images and oh my god!!! I'm loving it, I have a few folders at the moment and I will probably adding more soon enough.

**
That's all the updates at the moment in my life, New haircut, New job and getting obsessed with PLL and pinterest.
I am pretty active on pinterest at the moment, you guys can always check my pinterest board out, here's the link: https://uk.pinterest.com/shula_1995/

feel free to comment on any of the things I mentioned above or tell me an update in your life that your either happy about or just want to share, I would love to hear them.
